Park Rules

 Waterpark Rules
  1. Safety is our #1 priority.
  2. Children 12 years of age and younger must be accompanied by a responsible adult (16+) who intends to directly supervise them while in the waterpark.
  3. Children 5 years of age and younger must be actively supervised by an in-water responsible adult (16+) within arm’s reach at all times.
  4. Groups bringing children to the waterpark must have at least one adult per every 5 children, and are responsible for the supervision of those children.
  5. Lifeguards enforce rules and respond to aquatic emergencies, but parents/guardians are ultimately responsible for the supervision of their children.
  6. Please obey the lifeguard and aquatic staff at all times.
  7. Everyone entering the waterpark must have an appropriate purchased wristband for admission-NO exceptions. Observer/Non-Swimmer wristbands are available for purchase at a discounted rate.
  8. Proper swimwear must be worn at all times. Lined bathing suits are required. No cutoffs, thongs, gym shorts or suits deemed inappropriate by management will be permitted. Swimwear with zippers, rivets, buckles, or any metal ornamentation is prohibited on the slides. Loose fitting clothing and accessories that pose an entrapment risk are not permitted. All diaper-dependent guests must wear an approved swim diaper.
  9. Disposable and cloth diapers are prohibited in the pool. All diaper-dependent guests must wear an approved swim diaper. Swim diapers are available for purchase at Guest Services. Diapers must be changed in the restrooms or locker rooms only.
  10. Floatation devices (water wings, noodles, float belts, rafts, balls, etc.) are not permitted in the waterpark. Infant floatation devices must have leg openings, and are subject to management approval. Only Coast Guard approved life jackets may be worn inside Parrot Cove. Life jackets are available at Parrot Cove on a first come first serve basis. Life jackets may not be worn on any slides.
  11. Life jackets are available in a variety of sizes at no charge. We strongly encourage all guests less than 48” tall, weak swimmers and non-swimmers to wear a US Coast Guard approved flotation device. Parents must keep their children within arm’s reach while they are wearing a life jacket. The use of your own personal floatation device will be subject to management approval.
  12. Rental lockers are available, and recommended, for storage of personal items. Parrot Cove is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  13. Pets are not allowed in the waterpark, with the exception of service animals.
  14. All bags will be checked upon entrance to Parrot Cove for the safety of our guests.
  15. Persons with open sores or communicable diseases are not permitted in the pool.
  16. Outside food, drinks, and coolers are not permitted in the waterpark. Special needs items may be brought into the park with prior approval from management. (No glass containers.)
  17. Food and drink are not allowed in the pool area, or on the pool deck.
  18. Smoking and use of tobacco is prohibited, and not permitted within 50 feet of the waterpark. This includes e-cigarettes and vaporizers.
  19. People under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted into the waterpark.
  20. Swimming is only permitted when lifeguards are on duty.
  21. In the event of thunder or lightning, the pool and pool deck will be cleared for at least 30 minutes after the last occurrence of lightning or thunder. No refunds will be issued for inclement weather.
  22. Running, rough play or inappropriate conduct are not permitted.
  23. Diving is not permitted anywhere in the waterpark.
  24. Additional rules may vary from attraction to attraction, and are posted at each location for your safety.
  25. The pool will be cleared 15 minutes prior to closing time.
  26. Management reserves the right to limit admission based on capacity.
  27. Management reserves the right to review, change, and establish rules as deemed necessary.
  28. Management reserves the right to suspend privileges or refuse admittance to any person failing to comply with rules.

 

Rum Barrel Runaway and Pineapple Express Rules

  1. Maximum operational load 1 person, 300 lbs.
  2. Persons under 40 inches tall are not permitted on this ride.
  3. Eyeglasses must be securely affixed to riders with head straps.
  4. Swim wear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal ornamentation are not permitted.
  5. Only one rider to enter the flume at a time. Single riders only!
  6. Never form chains.
  7. Slide must be ridden feet first lying on your back with legs firmly crossed at the ankles and arms folded across the chest (to prevent elbows contacting the flume).
  8. Riders must wait for the attendant's start signal before starting the ride.
  9. Do not uncross your legs or attempt to sit up until you come to a stop in the shutdown lane.
  10. Do not run, dive, stand, kneel, rotate or stop in the slide.
  11. At the end of the slide, obey all instructions by attendant and exit quickly.
  12. CAUTION: For safety reasons, pregnant women and persons with heart conditions or back trouble should not ride this slide.

 

Screamin' Tsunami Rules

  1. Maximum operational load 2 persons, 400 lbs (182 kg). Maximum individual rider weight 300 lbs.
  2. Children under 48 inches (1.22 m) tall are not permitted on this ride.
  3. Eyeglasses must be securely affixed to riders with head straps.
  4. Swim wear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal ornamentation are not permitted.
  5. Only one inner tube to enter the flume at a time.
  6. Never form chains.
  7. Tubes should be ridden in a seated position, facing forward.
  8. Riders must stay on the tubes during the ride. If you accidentally fall from the tube continue on down the flume without it and exit normally.  
  9. Riders must wait for the attendants start signal before starting the ride.
  10. Keep arms and hands inside the flumes at all times.
  11. Do not run, dive, stand, kneel, rotate or stop in the slide.
  12. At the end of the slide, obey all instructions by splash pool attendant and exit quickly, taking your tube with you.  
  13. CAUTION: For safety reasons, pregnant women and persons with heart conditions or back trouble should not ride this slide. 

 

Riptide Rush Rules

  1. Maximum operational load 2 persons, 400 lbs (182 kg). Maximum individual rider weight 300 lbs.
  2. Persons under 48 inches (1.22 m) tall are not permitted on this ride.
  3. Eyeglasses must be securely affixed to riders with head straps.
  4. Swim wear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal ornamentation are not permitted.
  5. Only one inner tube to enter the flume at a time.
  6. Never form chains.
  7. Tubes should be ridden in a seated position, facing forward.
  8. Riders must stay on the tubes during the ride. If you accidentally fall from the tube, continue on down the flume without it and exit normally.
  9. Riders must wait for the attendant's start signal before starting the ride.
  10. Keep arms and hands inside the flumes at all times.
  11. Do not run, dive, stand, kneel, rotate or stop in the slide.
  12. At the end of the slide, obey all instructions by splash pool attendant and exit quickly, taking your tube with you.
  13. CAUTION: For safety reasons, pregnant women and persons with heart conditions or back trouble should not ride this slide

 

Everglade Lagoon Water Walk Rules

  1. Minimum height requirement of 48 inches.
  2. Obey all lifeguard instructions.
  3. After falling or letting go of the ropes, guests must immediately swim to the side and exit the pool.
  4. Parents are not allowed to wait in the water or help their child along the lily pads.
  5. Only one person allowed on pad at a time.
  6. Do not swim in pool or sit on pool edge.
  7. Do not dive off floatable play elements.
  8. Do not attempt to leap from floatable to floatable without using overhead system.
  9. Caution: the surface of the floatable mats is slippery.
  10. Do not stand up at any time without holding on to the overhead system.

 

Castaway Cay Rules

  1. Play unit waterslides are intended for children 5 years and younger.
  2. Children must be supervised by an adult.
  3. Water depth is shallow.
  4. Only one rider per slide at a time.
  5. Slide feet first, sitting up with arms and hands inside the flume. Leave the plunge pool promptly after entering.
  6. Landing area must be clear before entering the slide.
  7. Follow the instructions of the lifeguards at all times.
  8. No running.
  9. No tubes, mats, or lifejackets permitted on the water slides.
  10. Only approved swimwear allowed.
  11. No diving or jumping from play unit.
  12. Rider assumes all risk of injury due to the misuse of the play unit or waterslide.
  13. Failure to follow rules can result in serious injury.

 

Lil' Explorer Reef Rules

  1.  Waterslides are intended for children 5 years and younger.
  2. Children must be supervised by an adult.
  3. Water depth is shallow.
  4. Only one rider per slide at a time.

Coral Cliffs Rules

  1. One climber on the wall at a time.
  2. Climbers must start from in the water, not the pool deck.
  3. Climbers get one attempt to climb. Once you fall you must go to the end of the line.
  4. No swimming allowed in the drop pool.
  5. Feet first entry from the wall. No flips or twists of any kind!
  6. You must be able to swim in deep water to use wall. Anyone using a flotation aide is not permitted to use the wall (i.e. water wings, life jackets, buoyant swim suits)
